Rev. Canon Grace Kaiso is a theologian and ordained minister in the Anglican Church, trained in Uganda, New Zealand, and Canada. He is married to Christine and together they have five children. Since his ordination in 1977, he has served the Church in various capacities and at different levels. For nine years, Rev. Kaiso was the Executive Secretary of the Uganda Joint Christian Council (UJCC), an ecumenical body bringing together the Anglican, Roman Catholic, and Orthodox Churches. He also worked with World Vision International for a decade as Project Manager and Facilitator of urban projects, where he engaged extensively in urban ministry, focusing on empowering the poor. Widely recognized within faith circles, he is a strong advocate for human rights, good governance, and peace-building initiatives in the Great Lakes region. His approach to social justice is shaped by his Christian faith, theological training, passion for building harmonious and dignified communities, and hands-on experience working with diverse governance structures, urban poor, and minority groups. Rev. Canon Kaiso champions social emancipation, transformative and compassionate leadership, and innovative ministry models that enhance Christian witness. He has served on several Boards, including Micah Challenge International, the Media Council of Uganda, the National Council for Children Uganda, the Anglican Alliance, ECLOF-Uganda, FECCLAHA, the Africa Council for Religious Leaders, and the ICCO Regional Board.
